Here at the ABOA Alaska, our vision is a world free from the pain and suffering from cancer. From research to education, prevention to diagnosis, the American Cancer Society provides support to everyone impacted by cancer, and we empower you to join us in supporting the work of the American Cancer Society by donating today.
AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY'S
Associate Board of Ambassadors Alaska Chapter
The Associate Board of Ambassadors is a community of young professionals committed to the American Cancer Society’s mission – saving lives by eliminating cancer – through philanthropic efforts to fund research for cures, support for patients, prevention and detection.
Comprised of members age 21-39 representing a variety of Alaskan companies, the Associate Board provides extensive volunteer and networking opportunities for young professionals.
"Cancer can take away all of my physical abilities. It cannot touch my mind, it cannot touch my heart and it cannot touch my soul." - Jim Valvano
At the American Cancer Society, we're on a mission to free the world from cancer. Until we do, we'll be funding and conducting research, sharing expert information, supporting patients, and spreading the word about prevention. All so you can live longer — and better.
At the ABOA Alaska, we’re dedicated to creating fun and local fundraising events to help further our mission. The Annual Taps & Apps event does just that, with exciting auctions, beer & appetizer pairings, fun “games of giving” and more, all in support of the American Cancer Society’s mission to save lives.
As Anchorage's premier black tie fundraising event, The Anchorage Wine & Food Festival raises funds to invest in life-saving cancer research, educational outreach on cancer prevention, and programs and services for Alaskan cancer patients and their families, such as rides to and from appointments and flights and lodging for those who require treatment far from home.
